This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing education scale-up in a senior role and help take the company to the next level as we continue to develop.
The Head of Finance will be responsible for all financial functions of Immerse Education, such as regular reporting, budgetary monitoring, and cash flow management.
A project for the first 12 months will be to bring the company’s finance function in-house, away from the currently outsourced accountancy department. The role will, therefore, involve future line management responsibility.
Immerse Education has plans to expand internationally, the position will be in charge of ensuring we follow all overseas legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
Our ideal candidate is someone with demonstrable experience in a financial leadership role with an interest in / first-hand experience developing their department in a scale-up environment.
Financial Management
- Formulation and execution of financial strategies, plans, and budgets for the company.
- Conduct financial analysis and give insight that leads to decision-making and expansion.
- To see that accurate financial reports are produced on time with timely preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgets that are monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Manage financial activities inclusive of cash flow control, risk assessment, and internal controls professionally.
- Ensure the integrity of the P&L. Work with all departments to improve financial performance and give insights on improvement opportunities.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Analyze financial feasibility and risks of new business ideas or extending business operations.
- Be the financial eyes and ears to make resource allocation decisions and improve profitability.
- Develop and monitor key financial measurements and KPIs to provide senior management with regular reporting.
- Scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis will be applied to facilitate strategic decision-making and investment.
- Conduct financial analyses and forecasts for business performance assessments and identify opportunities for cost-cutting and revenue-generation initiatives.
