We are looking for a motivated and ambitious person to join Immerse Education, a leading provider of transformative educational experiences to students across the world, comprising residential summer schools and online programs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing education scale-up in a senior role and help take the company to the next level as we continue to develop.
The Head of Finance will be responsible for all financial functions of Immerse Education such as regular reporting, budgetary monitoring, and cash flow management.
A project for the first 12 months will be to bring the company’s finance function in-house, away from the currently outsourced accountancy department. The role will therefore involve future line management responsibility.
Immerse Education has plans to expand internationally, the position will be in charge of ensuring we follow all overseas legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
Our ideal candidate is someone with demonstrable experience in a financial leadership role with an interest in / first-hand experience developing their own department in a scale-up environment.
Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, including monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Oversee financial operations, including cash flow management, risk assessment, and internal controls.
- Maintain P&L accuracy. Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Perform scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility and potential risks of new business initiatives or expansion plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.
